on the / or rather on one of your cocunut oil infuse/decarb target temp was 220F ,…. what is the lowest temp you can decarb at ? or rather what is the optimal decarb temp ? as the temp in this vid confused me.

+RuffHouse Studios it was not the oven, it was a hotplate and a beaker,… ok, so on a adjustable hotplate and a beaker at what temp might you suggest the oil be at for material to decarb, assuming it is not already ? and for how long ?
as i tried 1 cup coconut oil at 220F for an hour with 5g of material ,.. this time i am going to try half cup olive oil at 220F with 5g material for an hour.
any suggestion ?

On the other video I was setting the oven at 220°F, which is the ambient temp of the oven not the actual temp of the material in the oven which is much lower. I use 250°F to decarb now, for about 25 minutes in the oven. In the sous vide, the cannabis comes in closer contact with heat source. Hence the lower temperature.
As for lowest temp you can decarb, it’s sort of a function of time/ temp. It will decarb at room temperature over long periods of time (months) or in an instant when you smoke it. There is a chart that was floating around showing time and temps to get optimal decarb. Probably old science now. The problem is that it’s hard to know how much, if at all the cannabis is already decarbed without testing it.
